If you want to watch a riot flood the yard and see everybody lose their s*#t, you've come to the right place! This explosive slot from Shady Lady offers prison commissary, police brutality and riot control all under one roof, and as you move into the bonus game, soap is the currency of choice!
Wild symbols feature heavily in this creation, and they are even more prominent once you make it through to the bonus round. Ordinarily, they will substitute for regular payers, and these are worth up to 2x and pay across 1,024 lines.
There are 5 locked cells on the yard, and these can open when a key symbol lands. A number of outcomes are possible, and each one will potentially land you a win. You can find symbol upgrades, added multipliers and progressive wins. Once in a while, the whole board will open up and everything becomes high value.
3 bonus scatter symbols will bring you 7 free spins and you move from the yard to the shower where soap is now king. 3 types of soap will bring varying levels of multipliers, and they stick around for each spin as they move to a new place each time. Once again, locked cells can be opened. 4 scatter symbols will start the super version and now you meet the psycho killer.
Free spins can be purchased for 67x and the super bonus game will set you back 710x. If you want to avoid watching your spins all together, then pick the highlight reels option and this will give you the highest three paying spins.
5 cells in this yard are permanently locked, and to find out what's inside, you need to land a key symbol. When this happens, you'll unlock one of the gates and discover a modifier. You might get a regular wild symbol, but you could see symbols receive an upgrade and low symbols receive an escalating payout as well.
A standard and super version of the free spins bonus is available when you land 3 or 4 scatter symbols. The basic version is 7 free spins and you'll watch soap bars make their way around the grid with different-sized multipliers attached. The super version sees the psycho killer taking down inmates and producing wins.
Making a play for the 20,000x maximum payout in this Mega Jail is going to require a few visits to the super bonus game, where you watch the psycho killer slash and stab his way through various inmates and bring big multipliers to the table. The standard bonus game can also provide some welcome respite for your balance – I managed to unlock over 200x at this point in my prison journey. The high volatility will probably mean an extended period of time spent in the base game, but you do have the option to purchase many highlights and modifiers.
Mega Jail is a one-of-a-kind when it comes to design and presentation! Granted, we've seen prison-themed slots before, but there's something quite special about how it all fits together on your mobile phone and other compatible devices. Nothing is quite as it seems, and every part of the grid can become animated at certain moments.
Mega Jail is a little different to what you may be used to working with, and even though the wilds and multipliers have been around for quite a while, they act in a very distinct manner within these prison walls. It takes a special type of brain to put all of this together, and the team over at Shady Lady seems more than capable of delivering this level of innovation time after time.
