I didn't get my hands on the original Ice Wolf game, but if this sequel is anything to go by, I imagine it was pretty decent. It's obvious that ELK intends to keep us occupied with a host of thrilling spins that can manipulate this game area with every win.
The game begins with three rows across six reels and a standard 729 paylines. There's a top section with feature symbols, and another section with blocked-out symbols. Both of these areas are inactive until either a win takes place or some kind of modification brings them to life.
Regular wins can grab you payouts worth up to 5x, and the number of winning symbols in the cluster corresponds to the number of frozen symbols that now become activated above. This is how the game area grows, and you get more ways to win a prize.
The golden wolf symbol will clear the ice around it, and this can also improve your chances of winning. Once the win takes place and frozen symbols are thored out, a respin takes place, and you can hopefully add to the payout and watch the grid continue to expand.

You'll feel cold just looking at this game! The reels are set inside this frozen den, and the crisp, icy graphics have been paired perfectly with a little subtle animation that brings light to the foreground. There's a slight sense of urgency from the soundtrack, but overall, it has a mythical and generally calming feel until wins take place and other features turn up. It is quite a large game area to view on a small mobile phone, but it's perfectly possible.
Your experience with Ice Wolf 2 is going to depend largely on how kind the high volatility is feeling at that moment.
