Nudging gates act as mystery symbols and could produce big wins if you're lucky, and you might even see some persistent global multipliers in a free spins bonus that comes in two formats.
The game area appears to be fairly one-dimensional with five reels and four rows in play. Across these, you have 14 paylines with wins formed with groups of three, four or five matching symbols.
The royals can pay up to 2.50x and the picture symbols deliver up to 25x. Standard wins are by no means the end of the action because there are mystery nudge gates that can work a little magic into the equation.
These gates are four symbols high and are effectively a stack of mystery symbols. The aim is to cover the entire reel and to do this, they will nudge up or down to achieve their goal. As they land, a global multiplier will increase by +1 and each time the gate nudges, an extra +1 is applied to the multiplier figure. As it reveals its treasures, you'll find regular paying symbols, wild symbols or eye symbols hidden behind them.
If an eye symbol is revealed, then get ready to receive some coins, collector symbols or possibly even extra free spins if this happens during the bonus game.
The coins are bronze, silver or gold and offer payouts worth between 1x and 1,000x your bet. The collector symbol will bring all of these values together and respin the spaces where the coins were and get you some extra prizes.
Wild symbols will pay up to 25x for a group of five and they also help to improve other wins.
3 or 4 bonus scatter symbols get you 10 free spins with two types of bonus on offer. In truth, both bonus games are practically the same but there is one slight difference when you get the advanced version.
The basic version comes with three bonus scatter symbols and as with the advanced game, you'll notice that it's very similar to the base game. You have an increased chance of landing the mystery gates and they'll be sticky to allow you to witness a reveal with each spin.
The global multiplier sticks around for the duration and this will increase as you take your free spins. As mentioned before, the eye symbols can now reveal additional free spins scatter symbols to boost your tally.

You can improve your chances of triggering a bonus game by paying twice your bet amount or you can grab a spin with at least two mystery gates guaranteed for 50x. 100x will allow players outside the UK to head straight to the bonus round and 200x will produce the superior bonus.
When a mystery gate lands and partially covers the reels, it'll work its way up or down to completely cover it. As they land, the global multiplier increases and the same thing happens with each step it takes towards covering the reel. The gate is a collection of mystery symbols that are revealed once the reel is covered and this produces wild, eyes or regular paying symbols.
Three or for scatter symbols will trigger 10 free spins. The standard game continues the base game mechanics but does offer an increased chance of landing the mystery gates. Also, you'll notice that these symbols are sticky and will reveal the wilds or eye symbols with each spin. The global multiplier is also persistent. The superior bonus game offers all of the above except mystery gates can only reveal high-paying symbols, wilds and eyes.
To get your balance close to that 15,000x max win, you're going to need to see the mystery gates arriving very frequently. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case for me and I had to rely on standard base game wins to offer me little more than 3x at best. The bonus game did create some good news thanks to the persistent global multiplier that managed to return a little over 30x by the end of the action. Don't forget that this is a highly volatile model and that could mean a big win at any point.
Some care and attention has gone into designing this game but it feels like the developers simply chopped together some previously used elements to come up with a new theme idea. It works perfectly well on all devices but don't expect it to blow you away.
