5 Stand-Out Slots From 2025
It’s been yet another great year for slots, with new instalments in beloved franchises and a few quirky originals too. At Slot Gods we test a huge number of slot games, so we thought we’d highlight and share info about 5 games from 2025 that we think really stood out. If you haven’t already had a look at the following titles, we highly recommend you do!
Pirots 4
ELK Studios has been impressing slots enthusiasts with its Pirots series since 2023. And it's easy to see how it’s become such a success, with so many features and a big win potential. When released in June, Pirots 4 impressed our team immediately. This game isn’t simply ‘Pirots in Space’ – there’s also a whole host of features and modifiers, plus a max win of 10,000x.
For fans of the weird and wonderful, the Pirots games are definite winners, fitting firmly into our ‘WTF’ category. The cosmic chaos of Pirots 4 is one of the highlights, meshing nicely with the general wackiness of the series. There are no conventional paylines, as the game favours a large, 6x6 grid format, and the erratic gameplay just adds to the fun. If you haven’t tried the Pirots games yet, this is a solid place to start.

Barbarossa Dragon Empire
It looks like Peter & Sons has Shogun fever! In Barbarossa Dragon Empire, the title character (and the fantastic doubling multiplier mechanic) takes a trip to the Orient, where players can win up to 40,000x their stake.
Peter & Sons consistently delivers premium slots with great graphics, immersive settings and a solid sense of storytelling, and this is no exception.
The best part of Barbarossa Dragon Empire has to be the double multipliers. Consecutive wins result in accumulating multipliers, and, with every win, new multipliers and wilds are added. If you land payout after payout, the multipliers continue to double, helping you on your way to that monumental max win of 40,000x. This isn't the first outing for Peter & Sons’ Barbarossa character, and we hope it’s not his last!

Black Friday
This pointed satire from Shady Lady lampoons the dregs of society as they battle it out for cheap toilet roll. Not for the faint of heart, this cheeky slot pokes fun at a few quintessentially American archetypes, and it does a great job. In Black Friday, you’ll need to stay on your toes if you want to avoid those Karens and mobility scooters. But it’s not all about the comedy – there’s a massive top prize too!
The WTF elements of Black Friday are front and center. For instance, at any point during the base game, a car can appear and run down the on-grid characters, awarding you with a number of respins that is determined by the size of the offending vehicle.
We have to commend Shady Lady on its fearless sense of humor, and we’re looking forward to whatever this developer has in store for 2026.

Tsar Wars
Doesn’t it seem about time the Kremlin lightened up a bit? Tsar Wars, as its brilliant name suggests, is a collision of Russian leaders and everybody’s favourite space opera film series. Nolimit City has done it again, this time by sending prominent Russian figures into space to dance with Chewbacca. What could possibly go wrong?!
With a max win just shy of 20,000x, there’s a lot to fight for in this quirky spin on intergalactic warfare. This includes 3 separate bonus features, each of which awards generous numbers of free spins to the player. It also uses a cluster pays mechanic, rather than the usual reels and paylines system, further adding to the madness. When we reviewed Tsar Wars back in July, we knew right away that it would be making this list.

Chomplings
Print Studios has gone all out with this one. Wingrid, Rocky, Zuck and Gemma munch their way around the grid to satisfy their hunger and land you a big win. Character modifiers, multipliers, and grid upgrades all come as standard in Chomplings. Each of the four Chompling protagonists (whatever a ‘Chompling’ is!) has its own power to help you get closer to the big 20,000x win.
This is not a conventional slot, but it should appeal to the more adventurous players out there. In some ways, the gameplay resembles Pac-Man, with characters consuming symbols as they navigate a maze. With modifiers, grid upgrades and big win potentials, Chomplings is well worth the little time that it takes to adjust.
