It's the 1st of the Toshi titles I've had the privilege of reviewing, but I hear there was a video club at some point! This understated creation doesn't look much when it first appears, but you soon realise that the Tokyo streets can play havoc with the payline mechanic.
On each of the six reels, you’ll see the hackways make a triumphant appearance with the number of rows changing from one to the other. At its maximum, you have a million chances to hit a prize.
Regular wins come from royal symbols and these can pay up to 0.5x. The picture symbols max out at 3x. Wild symbols will substitute for regular payers.
Flash frames are your best chance of getting larger prizes and these turn up whenever a winning combo occurs. The positions where the winning symbols were are highlighted by a frame and they stick in place.
The winning symbols within the frame will reveal new symbols and if another win takes place, then the sequence carries on. It's fairly similar to a standard cascade in reality. If swap symbols land on the grid at the same time as the flash frame, then they can act as a mystery symbol trigger and symbols inside the frames turn into the same symbol.
You get 10 free spins for landing three scatter symbols during the base game and you'll see the regular activity continue. You have an increased chance of landing the swap symbols and you can pick up extra free spins by landing more of the scatter symbols.
Four scatter symbols landing during the base game will get you 10 free spins and an additional bonus with a slicing swap scatter symbol. They can replace frames with the slicing symbol to produce more winning symbols in one place.
The epic bonus is another 10 free spins, and this comes courtesy of five scatter symbols. Everything is the same as before, but you get a swap or slicing swap symbol guaranteed with each spin.
If a win takes place, the winning symbols get highlighted by one of these frames. They stick to the grid and all the other symbols within the flash frames reveal a new symbol. If another win arrives, the sequence continues until you run out of luck, and the frames make their way from the game area.
