Sweet Bonanza Super Scatter

Did it need an overhaul? Is this even an overhaul? Is this exactly the same slot with just a higher max win? These are but a few of the things that trouble me slightly as I take a bite out of Pragmatic’s latest release, but I'm hoping that the answers will surprise us a little.

Gameplay & Features

Seemingly, the old setup is back with wins arriving in a scatter pays formation with a fully flexible approach to base game payouts. You have a 6x5 grid area and as you might imagine, a lot of fruit will be appearing.

The lowest possible payout is a winning combo of 8 matching symbols with the bananas failing to impress in any way, shape or form. Just 0.25x will be yours for a group of eight or nine of these, but remember that all these matching symbols can land anywhere on the grid. 

Grapes and watermelons don't fare much better but things start getting a little more impressive as you move past the apples and here, at least your base bet is covered by the minimum combo. Finally, we reach the red hearts with a potential payout worth up to 50x when 12 or more of these congregate on the grid at the same time. 

Winning symbols are removed from the screen with new ones taking their place and potentially bringing you another winning sequence in the process. 

The only other symbol you need to watch out for at this point is the scatter symbol. However, there is a huge tasty twist to this symbol with some being regular and others being super. A group of six of these will produce a 100x win and only four of them are required to trigger the free spins bonus. If a super scatter turns up along with 3 or more scatters, you'll start to pick up some eye-watering sums of cash. 

One super scatter with three or more regular scatters will pay you 100x and if there are two super scatters, you get 500x. Things start getting a little more interesting when three turn up as you now receive a dividend worth 5,000x. Finally, four super scatter symbols and four or more regular scatter symbols will see the game's top win fall straight into your lap. A 50,000x prize is what you're aiming for. 

Bonus Game 

Having collected the right combination of scatter symbols to enter the free spins bonus, you’re presented with 10 free spins and you can pick up extras every time three or more scatters land during the round. 

Here, you’ll see a new symbol that you haven't experienced in the base game, but you've likely seen many times before if you've played any Pragmatic Play scatter pays creations. This colourful little bomb can take on a random multiplier worth between 2x and 100x and this value is applied to the total win of any sequence of payouts. 

Unfortunately, you won't see any super scatters landing during the free spins but players outside the UK can buy their way in for 100x. There's also an opportunity to go directly to a super free spins game for 500x and this will offer more advanced prizes – at least it should in theory. An extra 25% on top of your base bet will make base game spins more likely to trigger a free spins bonus.
