Some games were so popular the first time around that it doesn't matter how many remakes the developer comes up with; players are always going to play them. One such series is Reactoonz from Play’n GO and I warn you now, they won't need to make many changes to keep you fixated on what you're about to witness.
There seems to be an additional multiplier to add a little extra space dust to your payouts but beyond that, I'm not sure exactly what the difference is going to be. Only one way to find out!
Having played all games in this series, I can promise you now that you're going to enjoy this special creation but whether or not it's going to be your favourite is another matter.
The aim, as always, is to land as many wins as possible to see your balance grow but the added benefit here is that more modifiers turn up as you land more wins. This could mean additional wins added to those wins and that sounds like a win-win to me!
After choosing your bet amount, you'll watch this grid slot roll through the first stage as it tries to land you a standard win. As a cluster pays mechanic, you need groups of at least five matching symbols to hit the grid at the same time and they must be touching horizontally or vertically. The lowest paying ones can get you up to 2x and the highest paying ones will grab rewards worth up to 100x.
Each time a win lands, you'll see the multiplier start to grow. This can reach up to 100x and is applied to random energised toons. If that character takes part in a future win, the multiplier helps you out.
The one-eyed symbols increase the multiplier by one and the two-eyed symbols increase it by 3. The Quantum Charger has always been a favourite distraction in this game and the aim is to eventually release the Gargantoon.
It isn't a bonus game as such and instead, you have quantum features that are released and eventually a Gargantoon symbol. Winning clusters charge the meter and once there are 25 winning symbols collected, a feature is yours.
You could see up to six symbols turned into wilds and all adjacent symbols being destroyed. Alternatively, the Incision feature might cut wild symbols and create two of them. From here, a diagonal line is drawn through the grid and matching symbols arrive. The Demolition feature destroys all one-eyed symbols and the Alteration modifier changes one random one-eyed symbol and all matching symbols into another one.
Finally, after reaching the fifth stage of the meter, you'll release the Gargantoon and this means eight wild symbols turn up on the grid. They merge into two large 2x2 wilds and then into a colossal 3x3 wild.
At any point, up to 8 wild symbols might be added to the grid just to help things along nicely.
Each time 25 winning symbols are collected, a section of the charger meter is filled. There are four random features that get lined up and once your wins run out, they trigger. You can have wild symbols added to the grid with others being destroyed and also split the grid in two to create random symbols. Low-paying symbols might be destroyed and other symbols can be upgraded.
After you've filled the first four spaces on the meter, you might eventually add another 25 winning symbols to the equation and trigger the Gargantoon. Now, 8 wild symbols turn up in random places and after any wins have been created, it splits into 2 2x2 wilds. After that, it becomes a 3x3 wild.
The potential to land bigger wins than ever is a possibility thanks to the max win of 10,000x but don't get too excited as there's less than 1 in 1 billion chance of watching that happen. The volatility is incredibly high, so that means some big wins could turn up from time to time. The hit frequency isn't particularly favourable so be prepared to see a few losing spins.
There isn't much to separate this game from the original Reactoonz, or Reactoonz 2 for that matter, but you do get the addition of the little multiplier spaceship adding some animation. It's a very generic overhaul of what was already a good-looking and strange little game. The good news is that it looks weird and wonderful on all devices, including mobile phones.
Given that this game follows the others in the series so closely, it was always going to be difficult to separate them and choose a favourite. However, there are some distinct differences with this additional multiplier and the increased max win. Therefore, I've got to hand it to Reactoonz 100 and declare it the winner so far!
