These numbers are fairly small, and that's mainly due to the DoubleMax multiplier. Every time a win hits, the winning symbols disappear and a tumble takes place. The game area feels a little disjointed from the background, and that's strange to say because they are fairly similar in many ways. It's a nice-looking rainforest setting, but the brightly coloured reels don't seem to match the details that are offered in the background. The odd animation comes in the form of a few claw slashes, and you can also make out a few added sound effects to remind you that you're picking up some wins as you play.
Raptor 2 offers a good opportunity to witness one of my favourite features – a growing global multiplier. It makes each spin exciting and every win potentially more valuable than the last. An extra modifier would have been nice to keep the base game feeling a little more lively, and that could have been expanded upon in the bonus game, rather than the literal expansion of the game area.
However, it is all about the multiplier when it comes to DoubleMax, and you can't really say that Raptor 2 lets the side down in that respect. If you like a fairly simple game with a basic but potentially powerful add-on, then you may well want to take this latest Yggdrasil slot for a spin.
