Raging Rhino Double Danger doesn't seem to be the most life-threatening game out there, and it could even pay you a 5,000x max win. So where's the danger? This game area is big and bold with six reels offering wins in over 4,000 ways. The royal symbols will just about return your base bet if you get a high enough group going, but the pictures do a lot better as you move through the various animals and arrive at the rhino. You can expect a 10x win for a group of six.
Wild symbols might jump in and help out from time to time, and these will substitute for royals and pictures. Collector symbols might appear on the 1st or last reels, and you may even get two of them at the same time.
They serve a worthwhile purpose as they can collect the values of the instant cash prizes. They're worth up to 10x, and you might collect them twice, depending on how many collector symbols there are. If you collect a jackpot symbol, you'll be off to spin the jackpot wheel, and you could land the top prize of 5,000x.
When four bonus symbols hit at the same time, you get to choose between two bonus games. The first is a free spins bonus, and this offers you 15 free spins, or you can gamble. If you win the gamble, you get an extra 5 free spins, but losing the gamble means losing five spins. During this game, the wilds can have multipliers worth up to x5 attached to them.
The second bonus game is the collector feature, and this only offers danger symbols, collectors and prizes – the prizes can be coins or jackpots. You'll have at least one collector symbol with each spin, and this will collect in any cash values until three danger symbols land at the same time and end the game. Increasing your bet by 40% will improve the chances of triggering the bonus choice, and players outside the UK can purchase the bonus for 100x.
Collect symbols can land on the first and last reels, collecting in any cash prizes and potentially jackpot symbols as well. The jackpot symbol will take you off to play the big game jackpot round. Here, you get to spin the wheel and pick up one of the five prizes. The top award is the 1000x mega payout.
Choosing the free spins bonus means that you get 15 free plays, but you can gamble for more. If you win the gamble, you get five more spins, but if you lose, you lose five spins. Throughout this game, it's possible to pick up additional spins and the wild symbols will have multipliers worth up to x5 available.
The second choice of bonus games is this collector bonus and regular symbols are now removed. This leaves you with jackpots, coins, collectors and danger symbols, and landing three danger symbols at the same time will end the bonus. Each spin will have at least one collector symbol available and any cash prizes that land at the same time will be yours.
The base game does have the potential to land you some decent wins, but I didn't find that the collector turned up very often to pick up enhanced cash prizes. 4 or 5x was the best I saw most of the time, but the majority of wins will be a lot smaller though. Moving into the bonus choice gives you a better chance of landing bigger prizes and either game can offer top rewards. If you manage to trigger the jackpot wheel, then you could be on for the 5,000x max win.
This game will go down well with players who love a bold set of animations and a game area that doesn't necessarily try its hardest to blend in with the background. It's very much ‘in your face’ and it's probably best suited to larger screens. I imagine it was made primarily for the casino floor and those big cabinets that allow everything to stand out clearly. It's quite a standard Safari setting and the animal images are nicely done.
I collected some attractive wins fairly regularly in Raging Rhino Double Danger, but it was the bonus round that produced the highest payouts – mainly the collector bonus. The jackpot wheel won't turn up very often, but that's to be expected. There's a little bit of something for everybody here, and the entertainment value is quite high while you wait for the big wins.
