As I mentioned at the top, there seems to be a bit of an obsession when it comes to this theme with Pragmatic Play, and I suspect it's because players love it, and no matter what format it takes, we keep coming back for more. Let's see if this enormous grid can prove to be just as popular.
Every base game needs some standard wins, and in Candy Rush, they come your way thanks to groups of five or more matching symbols landing in a cluster formation. The best you can get is a group of 15 or more red stars, and these get you 150x.
When wins are formed, winning symbols disappear and new ones join the grid, and this will continue until no more wins are created. Randomly, and underlay of up to 7x7 in size can randomly appear on the screen and this carries a multiplier of 2x that is added to each symbol that takes part in a win.
When wins take place on top of the multiplier underlay, it will double up to a maximum of 128x.
The free spins bonus is triggered by landing between 3 and 7 bonus symbols, and some of these might be super symbols. You get up to 30 spins, and during the free spins bonus, a multiplier underlay of a random size will drop with every new spin. The super version of the game makes sure that a 7x7 underlay is guaranteed.
Outside the UK, players can purchase this bonus action for 100x.

Cluster pays is one of my favourite formations and quite a liberal way to allow winnings to land across a grid. There's nothing fixed about it, other than the fact that the symbols must be touching horizontally or vertically. If you can grab a large enough group, then you could see some pretty decent returns, even with the lowest paying symbols. In Candy Rush, there are no wilds to jump in and help out, but that underlay might appear at any time. Having the guaranteed multiplier throughout the bonus is essential if you'd like to hit any big returns that can get close to the 15,000x top win.
We must have seen this design at least 10 times before from Pragmatic Play, but at least this one's been dumped on top of her beautiful blue lake. Everything looks edible, and even the trees appear to be lickable, thanks to their pink and white stripes. The soundtrack is a little more euphoric than we've come to expect from these games, and I think I prefer it to the usual EDM mix. It looks extremely colourful on your mobile devices, and just as good on larger screens as well.
There isn't much to set Candy Rush apart from some of this developer's other games, but there is the promise of that underlay multiplier that could appear at any point. I have to say, after spinning for quite some time, I didn't feel like it wanted to join the party very often though. You might have better luck, and if you can get into the free spins bonus with the super symbols, then you could be looking at some attractive returns.
