The golden spin has got me intrigued and regardless of what it does, I think that every slot should have one! I'm hoping that it represents huge payout potential, so let's get spinning and find out.
Despite its appearance, this isn't a grid slot and instead, you have a win ways setup. You can form winning combos of three, four, five or six matching symbols and these combos must start on the left-hand reel. Matching symbols continue on adjacent reels without any gaps to produce your payouts.
In total, you have over 46,000 ways to win. The low-paying royal symbols are exactly as they sound with only 0.25x available for a group of six. The picture symbols aren't much better and they max out at 1x. Wild symbols will substitute for regular symbols, but there must be something else going on here.
Part of the answer is that each spin begins with a number of mystery frames and if a mystery symbol lands at the same time, all of the symbols within those frames will be turned into the same symbol. Hopefully, this will grab you a payout and improve those tiny regular wins. And it isn't only regular paying symbols that can appear thanks to the mystery symbols, as you might also get coins with values worth up to 100x.
Not all of these spaces on the reels are filled with symbols and this also helps to confuse you as you try and convince yourself that this isn't a grid slot! Try not to worry too much about the disturbing payouts offered by the regular symbols! I'm here to attest to the fact that you can regularly land wins that are above your standard bet amount. It is all thanks to the mystery symbols and the cascades that bring new symbols in between each tumble. I didn't expect to find any huge wins during the base game though, and I was right, but the bonus game is a different matter. I played a couple of times and walked off with over 100x.
