Full review continued below ↓The first in this duo of slots passed me by, but I'm happy to be getting my hands on the sequel. In particular, I'm excited to meet the Wild Wheel that can offer jackpot prizes and entry to the free spins bonus.
For starters, you'll want to land some payouts across the adjacent reels, and these are worth up to 2.50x. The wild symbols will substitute for regular symbols, and then you meet the wheel wild.
This symbol is like a wild, and if it doesn't trigger a special wheel bonus, it might add up to 8x to the multiplier prize. If it is triggered, then you get a spin and a chance to land jackpot prizes. You may also enter the free spins bonus as a result.
Bet multipliers are reset and you head off to play free spins or upgraded free spins.
Coins display bet multiplier values throughout the base game, and depending on the colour of the coin, you'll get different ranges of prizes thanks to the Cash Falls feature. Coins get locked for 3 spins, and if a reel is filled, then you grab the prizes.
The More Free Spins game can be triggered with a blue coin, and you'll get up to 40 free spins, but the standard version is only 7 free spins.
The jackpot free spins bonus can be triggered with the gold coin, and at this point, you can grab any one of the big jackpot prizes. They get stored, and if all spaces are filled on the meter, the corresponding jackpot is awarded. The mega prize is worth 5,000x.
Scatter-free spins can be triggered with the red coin and get you up to 70 coins added.
The special wild symbol is slightly different to the regular symbol, because it can trigger a spin on the jackpot wheel. Jackpot prizes are worth up to 5,000x, and you may even head into the free spins bonus after taking your spin on the prize wheel.
The blue, gold and red coins can all trigger the free spins bonus, and each one represents a chance to play for free. The blue coin lets you play up to 40 times, the jackpot coin brings big prizes, and the red coin will add up to 70 coins to the game. Those coins are also worth up to 10x your bet.
Base game wins should be fairly simple thanks to the anyways mechanic, which allows matching symbols to sit on adjacent reels. I also saw the Wild Wheel trigger fairly regularly, and you've got the added bonus of those coins bringing instant prizes as well. The opportunities never seem to stop in this game, and it makes you believe that the 10,000x max win could be available at any point.
There are various areas to this game, and as you explore each one, you witness different imagery and sounds. It offers a progressive adventure with plenty of animation to keep things feeling lively. The sound effects are terrific, and it will intrigue you on a range of devices, including mobile phones. My favourite backdrop was the jungle waterfall that appears when you head into the free spins game.
That was a chance that 3 Tree Tricksters 2 was going to be a little overly complicated and end up shooting itself in the foot. However, once you can compartmentalise the different elements and enjoy witnessing what's happening with each one, there's no reason to let this one become a head-scratcher. It's been designed with short attention spans in mind, and that could well be a good thing these days!
