The grid is quite an inviting 7x7 game area with many different symbols that pay on a cluster pays basis. The basic symbols can land you wins worth up to 6x, but you will need a group of 20 or more to land these prizes. Picture symbols hold their value much better, and the biggest group here will deliver 25x.
As wins occur, winning symbols will disappear and new ones drop down to join the action. If another win takes place, then the cascading sequence continues. Each symbol has a chance to improve its value when three or more of them can have a cell multiplier increase. There's a chance that these values can grow to 25x, and if that symbol takes part in a win, then the outcome is far better.
Cauldron symbols deliver the four enhancements, and these modifiers are known as magnet, alteration, add wild and guaranteed win. The last modifier is quite self-explanatory, as is add wilds. The alteration cauldron will choose a random symbol and turn all of them into a matching symbol. Finally, the magnet will bring together other matching symbols into a winning combo.
Free spins are certainly on the table when you land three scatter symbols anywhere on the grid. You play 10 times with an extra spin given for every additional scatter symbol. At the start of each spin, three or more cells have their multiplier value increased, and this, once again, can grow to 25x. Your cell multipliers won't increase during the free spins though.

The cauldron symbols come in four colours, and each one represents its own modifier. The blue ones are magnets, and these bring together other matching symbols to create a cluster, and the purple ones will transform some other symbols into matching symbols. Yellow cauldrons add up to five wilds, and the red ones deliver a guaranteed win.

To pick up some wins that magically take your balance anywhere close to the 10,000x max payout, you're going to need that wizard to boost your cell multipliers and fire out enough colourful cauldrons. My favourite was the add wild modifier, and this created several wins over 5x. The free spins bonus took a long time to trigger, and that was even with the additional dream bet activated. I didn't find the medium volatility to be particularly friendly, and it felt far higher than that to me.
Wizards of Wildwood is a nice-looking creation with our friendly purple wizard mischievously firing his additional multipliers onto the grid from the left-hand side of the game area. All of the symbols boast a skilful design touch, and you can make out these intricate details on smaller mobile phone screens as well. The game’s soundtrack is a spell-binding classical number that I didn't tire of hearing during my session.
Wizards of Wildwood is a great concept that uses cluster pays to potentially bring increasing multipliers that will help your balance out. Unfortunately, I think the volatility has been cranked up a little too high, and it hindered my progress considerably. There's always a chance that other players will have a better time when this wizard starts applying his modifications, and if you hit the spin button and the optimum moment, then some large groups of high payers combined with a couple of modifiers could result in something a little special.
