Peter & Sons presents perhaps one of the strangest slots you have come across for a while as you attempt to win big prizes and succeed in Unboxing Oblivion. What on Earth is about to happen here? It seems like we've inadvertently stumbled across somebody's private OnlyFans page, and the more you spin the reels, the better the results can be. Let's just make one thing clear: this is all about winning prizes and not getting anybody to perform anything outrageous!
We have no background context for this game, and fortunately, very little is needed to actually get your head around the base game wins. You can drop standard payouts into your balance when you match 3 or more symbols across these paylines and the top results are worth up to 15x.
Wilds might land with multipliers attached to them and these can grow up and down to cover the entire reel. The only other symbols that might land are the bonus symbol, and these can take you to play some free spins.
3 or more scatter symbols will trigger the free spins bonus, and players outside the UK can also go straight there by paying 80x. By doing so, you get between 8 and 10 free spins. There's also a super version that costs 200x, and this is a guaranteed 10 free spins with extra wilds. During the bonus round, scatter symbols can assign a multiplier to the reels to improve your payouts.
The base game can provide enough scatter symbols to trigger the bonus round, and players beyond the shores of the UK can also buy directly in for 80x. Once you get there, you'll have up to 10 free spins and the aim is now to grab as much cash as possible as wild symbols continue to expand to cover the reels.
My balance struggled greatly during the base game, but that isn't completely unusual for a high-volatility game like this. Just bear in mind that you might find yourself hitting the spin button for a little while to try and bring your balance back to where it started. However, all of a sudden, those multipliers and stacked wilds can produce some stunning results, and this seems to get even better when you hit the free spins bonus. I wasn't lucky enough to see the 10,000 max win drop, but you might be.
Who knows where to start with the game design in Unboxing Oblivion. Presumably, it is a poke at some of the strange things people do in front of a webcam to make money, and while some people like to simply unbox tech items, others will put on some racy underwear and make things a little more steamy. The chat is blowing up to the side of the reels, and the rock soundtrack keeps the energy pulsating. It might be a little hard to read some of the comments if you're playing on a mobile phone.
I had no idea what to expect when this game popped up on my screen, and to be honest, I was wincing a little as it started to unfold. Fortunately, everything is kept clean, although it's still a very odd choice. The actual gameplay is a little underwhelming, but the bonus can provide some good payouts.
