This game is a strange one! It does an amazing job of making you not give a damn about regular symbol wins. In fact, I spun for quite some time before I realised there were any!
Regular wins land from left to right and you can have groups of three, four or five matching symbols on adjacent reels to grab a prize.
Wild symbols will substitute for regular payers and these can land anywhere to improve your wins.
The sun disks offer multiplier prizes worth up to 10x your bet, or they could be blank or jackpots. Each time one of these lands, it drops to the bottom row and a three-spin countdown begins. If you manage to land another coin, the three spins are renewed and eventually, you might have a complete bottom row of sun disks.
Where there’s a complete row of disks, you'll see the collective wins added to your balance and if any of them are lightning symbols, you'll be awarded a prize, depending on whether you have 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 of them. The top payout from the jackpot prizes is the game's 1000x max win.
3 or more scatter symbols trigger a 3 free spin bonus where only sun disks can land. Each time one appears, your three spins are renewed and the disk drops to the bottom row. For every complete bottom row of disks, you pick up the cash value shown or the corresponding jackpots if you have lightning disks.
It's possible to pick up each jackpot more than once, but I'm not sure if that includes the top prize as that would exceed the advertised max win.
There are three of these to watch out for with some offering multipliers worth up to 10x, others simply acting as a disk and a few which can produce jackpot prizes. If one lands on the screen, it drops down to the bottom row and stays there for three spins. New sun disks will reset the counter and if you have one on each of the reels, you'll pick up the values from the disks. Lightning disks can pay jackpots worth up to 1,000x.
3 or more scatter symbols will trigger this feature and you now only need special sun disks to land. They drop to the lowest place on the reel and reset the three free spins. Once a complete bottom row as been accumulated, you'll pick up the cash prizes. Three spins without landing a special symbol will signal the end of the game. It is possible to land regular prizes during the base game but they really aren't worth having. The top payer only seems to achieve a 0.50x win and it makes this part of the equation kind of pointless. Instead, it's all about the sun disks that can bring you those jackpot prizes and add to the action. We believe the max win is 1,000x, but it hasn't been confirmed.
Lots of wood carvings, glimmering disks and a faded jungle background is pretty much what you're looking out for in this game. It's all helped along by a tribal beat and it looks fine on a range of devices, including mobile phones. There's not much to mention other than that it is quite colourful.
Sol Mistico sounds more like a Fast Show sketch than a slot but there we go – I've seen worse names over the years!
