If strapping on some sort of gas mask and sitting on top of a 4x4 is your idea of fun, then load up your gun and let's get spinning! Roadquake promises the traditional double multiplier trail mixed with a vicious rocket rampage to help transform your wins. The minigun might step in and help, and a few other bombs will hopefully do the same!
Roadquake relies on scatterpays to get things moving and the most basic win is a set of eight matching symbols anywhere on the grid. 14 or more of the highest paying ones will get you a 15x win.
As each win takes place, the winning symbols are removed and a frame appears. If another win joins in on any of these positions, then the multiplier doubles.
When the rocket rampage turns up, they will either clear one or two lines of symbols and upgrade the multipliers at the same time. A minigun will choose up to two symbols and transform them into something better. The bomb upgrades can improve things in a 3x3 or 2x2 area.
The free spins bonus requires four scatter symbols to unlock 7 free spins, and during the round, the multiplier hotspots won't reset until it’s all over. If you can land five scatter symbols, you get the super free spins where all special symbols appear in their hyperform. You can also play a mega version if you get more than five scatter symbols, and this starts the session off with 2x multipliers on each place.
Outside the UK, you have the option of going straight to the free spins bonus for 100x.
This modifier can appear as a single or double rocket at any point. The whole purpose of this is to clear one or two lines of symbols and upgrade their multipliers by x2. Any symbols crossing the lines will get a 4x upgrade. Other bombs and weapons can help out with the minigun transforming symbols and bombs creating havoc in a fixed area.
This bonus game comes in regular, super, and mega formats. The basic game requires four scatter symbols to get things moving and you get 7 free spins. This is the same with all of the bonuses. I didn't find that the wins landed particularly frequently, and that affected my multiplier greatly. Fortunately, when they did land, they were often quite good. At times, I managed to get that multiplier pushed up beyond x10. The bonus game improved things, and the max win here is an incredible 20,000x.
Roadquake challenges Mad Max to a duel and aims to beat it into submission with a doubling multiplier. The soundtrack is pretty good at getting your blood pressure nice and high, and your pulse rate should follow suit. The modifiers that affect the board visually are quite easy to work out, and the same can be said on smaller mobile devices as well.
Roadquake can blow up your expectations of a scatterpays grid thanks to a series of weapons that may improve your payouts if this slot’s in the right mood. While I didn't manage to forage any huge wins, I got the impression that something special may not be far away. The great news is that the modifiers were pretty hectic and unrelenting once they got going.
