First things first, let's take a look at the pay table. You can land between 5 and 49 matching symbols and the highest payers are the panthers with a 150x reward. For the lower payers, you're going to need at least 9 matching symbols to get a return.
Wins form a cluster by landing in a group that touches horizontally or vertically. Those symbols disappear to make way for new ones, and if they contain a morphing symbol, the cluster will expand. If you remove the symbols on the same position twice, you get a 2x multiplier position in that place and this continues to double.
Pulse bombs can be triggered at any time when a win doesn't occur and these remove symbols and increase multipliers. There's also a zone pulse and this turns up along the central diagonal part of the grid and makes its way out to the edges. There’s also a radial one that comes from the outside and goes inwards.
You can get up to 16 free spins when you land three or more scatter symbols during the base game, and if one of them is a charged scatter, you get a pulse bomb guaranteed with each and every spin. Landing two or more scatters during the bonus will get you four more spins. Grid multipliers remain throughout the feature.

I was really surprised by the size of the payouts for some of those winning clusters, as I thought I knew what was about to happen, but the pulse bombs completely blindsided me! The multipliers grow and the grid transforms to produce the occasional incredible win. Obviously, the base game may not be as potent as the super bonus, but you'll still find a lot to look forward to in the regular area. My balance ended up slightly above where it started by the end of my session.
Phantom Pulse has a nice futuristic vibe, but it maintains a certain retro feel that may remind you slightly of Starburst or something similar. It's not that the games are the same in any way at all, but it has that almost basic sci-fi graphic that doesn't distract you in any way. It is a large grid, and this can hamper your viewing pleasure on a smaller mobile phone screen, but in general, you shouldn't have any problems. Neon streaks of green, blue and purple outline every aspect of this game and all of the symbols are strange aquatic forms.
Phantom Pulse probably isn't what you were expecting from Print Studios, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. This huge cluster grid maintains quite a simplistic view of how to reward a spin, but then it throws you a curveball with those pulse bombs, and your standard mechanics suddenly appear a lot more advanced. It's not my favourite kind of game, but there's every chance that this Phantom Pulse slot will please many of you.
