Is it too soon to release Pandemic Rising? I don't think so, and they could have cut it a little closer to the bone but instead, they've gone for the old classic movie contagion scene, which is a little different to how most of us were locked in doors watching EastEnders for weeks on end.
Pragmatic Play loves to hype up a slot and as soon as you see this game load, you'll be expecting much more than a simple wild multiplier from the base game. Unfortunately, that is what you're working with among the 40 regular paylines.
The basic wins come from the royal symbols with their values worth up to 1.50x and the picture symbols get you up to 20x. A five of a kind win is the largest on offer and all of the regular symbols can be substituted by the wild multiplier symbol.
These land with a random multiplier worth between 1x and 10x and will apply to any wins that pass through the wild symbol. These also appear during the free spins bonus and to make it this far, you'll need some bonus scatter symbols.
It's possible to make each spin more likely to trigger the bonus game but you will have to pay three times your standard bet amount to make this happen. Also, there's a super spin option, which costs 10x and guarantees a wild symbol with each spin.

I don't say this very often when it comes to Pragmatic Play slots but the game's design is my favourite part. It's a classic picture of death and destruction as this virus has been unleashed on the world and you can see the suggested culprit on top of a container to the side of the reels. It appears that the monkeys have created all the drama this time and the virus they present is your best friend during the bonus game, strangely. It might be a dark theme but it's been put together perfectly by Pragmatic and it even looks good on mobile phones.
Pandemic Rising is a tough game to assess because on one hand, it doesn't offer anything new but on the other, I love how they've used the visuals from this theme to connect with the setup. Big wins are possible but I wouldn't go ploughing your bankroll into this one to try and find them. Perhaps chance a few spins here and there and see if you catch it on a good day.
