The original Junkyard Kings game was a smash hit for Bullshark back in 2024, and by the look of things, the developer didn't want to mess with the formula too much. It's got the same basic idea, but at least the max win has grown, and the graphics seem to be a little fresher.
Grabbing a payout requires at least five matching symbols, touching horizontally or vertically – it's a cluster pays game. Over 36 symbols can deliver the best results and the rat poison will land you 500x.
As a win lands, you'll hopefully start to see multipliers come into play. The cell multiplier increases by 1x, and this continues growing up to a maximum of 100x if wins land in the same place.
There is a booster wild symbol and this will increase cell multipliers by up to 10x, or it could even double the existing one that's in place. Permanent booster wilds will move to a new location after they help create a win, and they disappear after the cascades subside.
Walking wild symbols randomly move up to 10 steps and leave a trail of nudges behind. Once again, there's a permanent version.
The free spins bonus comes as a standard or advanced, and requires three or four scatter symbols, respectively. You get 10 free spins, and the basic version simply gives you progressive cell multipliers. Four scatter symbols will also award 10 free spins and at least one permanent booster wild or permanent walking wild symbol is guaranteed with the first spin.
These two bonus games will cost 100x and 250x.
When wins land, the winning symbols disappear and new ones take their place. At the same time, a multiplier begins to grow on that cell, and this continues up to 100x. If no more wins take place, then the cell returns to normal. There are wild symbols that can help boost the value of these cell multipliers when they land.

The win potential in this game seems very similar to the original, but you do have the added benefit of a 20,000x max win. Having played both games extensively, I didn't really notice much of a benefit from the regular wins or features in this second release. The volatility is 4/5 and as expected, my balance took a bit of a beating for a while, but then a big win did push it back to above where I started. The bonus games rewarded me with over 50x each time I played.
Junkyard Kings 2 is definitely a crisper, more polished slot, and as we saw in the introduction, it appears to show Smokey Le Bandit as the main character. The hard electric guitar riff also ramps up the tension during the bonus game, and in general, the slick animation helps to keep this game looking good on mobile devices and other larger screens.
What's the main reason to choose Junkyard Kings 2 over the original? Apart from a slight tweak here and there and a bigger max win, it's probably down to personal design taste. Either one is worthy of your attention, and both have the ability to land you big wins. And what was the plunger added for? No idea.
