After reviewing Dead Headz from the same developer, I was fairly convinced that the Shoot & Loot mechanic was going to make a triumphant return. It doesn't seem to be that way, unfortunately. But that means we can press on and look forward to some brand new mechanics from this emerging creator.
There are 19 paylines in this game, even though you may mistakenly think you're playing a grid slot at first glance. Across those lines, you'll pick up regular payouts thanks to fruits and mystery symbols. The regular fruits start off with values of 0.20x for a group of three grapes, but you can get 100x for five of the red sevens. Five wild symbols will get you 150x.
With each spin, you'll have between one and three reels activated, and that means you'll see a little Jumpasaur on the bottom row. If a mystery symbol appears on the same reel above the little jumping character, they'll launch themselves up to unearth wilds, wild multipliers or scatter symbols. There may also be coins hidden behind that question mark, and these are worth up to 100x. Wild multipliers are worth up to 20x, and revealing a scatter symbol will take you to the bonus game.
As you enter the bonus area, you'll notice that the Jumpasaus are now ever-present. This means that every reel is activated, and each time a mystery symbol lands, you're guaranteed to pick up the benefits. The results are the same, with coins, wild symbols, wild multipliers and scatters all available. The scatter symbols will now add an extra two free spins.

The mystery symbols aren't much use to you unless a Jumpasaur is available beneath them. When the two match up, you see the mystery symbols reveal wilds, coins, wild multipliers or scatter symbols. The wild multipliers are worth up to 20x, and the coins can pay you an instant win of up to 100x.
Revealing a scatter symbol as you unlock a mystery symbol is sufficient for taking you through to the free spin the bonus. At this point, all of the reels are active, and all mystery symbols will be revealed. The results are fairly similar from those mystery symbols, but the scatter symbols will now add an extra two free spins to your tally.
The game's 10,000x max win only appears to be possible during the free spins bonus, and that probably tells you something about the size of the coin symbols that might land regularly. That doesn't mean that you won't pick up decent wins during the base game – I landed a 100x coin. The fun and potential are both packed into those mystery symbols, and quite rightly so when it's down to the Jumpasaurs to reveal the benefits. I managed to trigger the bonus game fairly quickly, and the result was a win of over 300x!
Jumpasaurs has a fantastic retro feel to it that will take you back, if you're old enough to remember pixelated graphics! The game is set in an open field with a little lake and a waterfall. You couldn't ask for much more, and there's even a little snake that makes an appearance from the tree to the right-hand side. It feels like you could be playing on a Nintendo Game Boy, and I think that's exactly what Jinx was going for. If retro is your thing, then you're going to love this.
