AvatarUX is either showing its disdain for the UK slot market or didn't realise that creating such a basic base game would potentially put us off. There are three bonus games to look forward to, but I'm going to say it right from the start that this game is aimed at the bonus-buy market rather than anything else.
The simplistic base game plays across five reels with 25 paylines offering wins worth up to 5x your bet. The best payments come from the watermelons and the lowest are equally spread among 10, J & Q. These lower payers will only just about return your base bet once you reach the ace and king.
It's my usual assumption that fairly low payouts will be accompanied by a few modifiers here and there, but not in this game. All you have to look forward to is a wild symbol that will substitute for regular payers.
The bonus games are where you'll pick up bigger wins, hopefully, and have a chance to land a few jackpots. It all starts by landing bonus symbols during the base game and either the green, purple or red one can randomly trigger a respins game.
The green symbol will give you four respins in the respins bonus and the purple one will expand the game area to 6x5. The yellow bonus symbol weirdly triggers the red bonus pot at the top of the grid.
When this occurs, you'll have special bonus symbols like extra rows, reels and full board boosters. you can start the free spins bonus with a combination of one, two or three modifications. The special symbols that can land during the bonus games are the jackpots, coins and boosters.
The coins offer values up to 250x, and the jackpots max out at 10,000x. The full board booster increases the value of all coins, and the reel and row booster will increase the value of coins and jackpots on the reels and rows.
Players outside the UK are going to be hugely tempted to head straight to the bonus game, and this will cost 75x. There is a premium version for 150x.
You can play three versions of this free spins game, which awards you three free plays. Each time a coin lands, it will increase the number of lives back to three, and other special symbols could also improve your payouts. Jackpots may land, and these are worth up to 10,000x.
I wasn't impressed with anything during the base game, with fairly low payouts making my balance look quite miserable for some time. I span and span for as long as I could, but eventually I had to use the bonus buy option. Luckily, I picked up a win worth around 150x and this took me back to the base game with a bit of a buffer in the bank. If you land one of the jackpot prizes, there's a chance that you make it close to that 10,000x max win, but at the moment, I have to say it sounds like a bit of a dream.
There's nothing wrong with this slot’s design, but that doesn't mean it's a great-looking slot. The background is blurry and the foreground is a hanging game area with some fairly sad-looking fruits. It takes place to a funky soundtrack that does its job perfectly well, but the overall feeling is quite average.
Fruitillionaire took a long time to show me any love, and it wasn't until I handed over the bonus buy fee that it decided to reward me with anything significant. The base game is pretty boring, and the respins bonus doesn't exactly elevate the excitement either. AvatarUX can do a lot better than this. Should you play it? Outside the UK, maybe.
