Full review continued below ↓I'm not entirely sure who this chap is, and how his crown seems to fit into this game, but the details don't seem to matter too much thanks to the simple base game and an opportunity to watch things get a little more complicated as you move into the bonus.
ChongFu Jiangpin Emperor’s Crown starts off by delivering wins across 40 fixed paylines, and the highest returns will come from a group of 5 golden frogs, which are worth 100x. If part of a wild symbol appears on the reels, it will nudge to completely cover all of the positions and substitute for regular paying symbols.
A red scatter coin can land at any time during the base game spins, and if this occurs, then you get to land one of the jackpots. If the blue coin drops, then you get the stack and repeat game. The green coin means you'll be off to play the super repeat.
1, 2, or 3 scatter coin types can offer you up to 3 variations of bonus game, and 4 or more scatter coins will guarantee a trigger. You start with 3 spins, and each time a coin lands, you get those spins back. Each of the coins is worth an individual amount, and the stack prizes are shown above the reels.
Stacks are important because a complete stack of 3 coins will see the values move up to the top of the game area, and you might get to repeat that figure if the ChongFu feature is triggered. During the regular stack game, the coins are worth up to 50x, and the super version brings values of up to 125x. The jackpot game will quite predictably send jackpot coins to the reels. You can also upgrade the coins and jackpots thanks to an upgrade symbol.
The 3 pots at the top of the grid can spring into action at any moment when one of the coins lands during the base game. You may get the standard Stack+ Repeat game, the Super+ Repeat game or the Jackpot game. Stacks of coins and jackpots may be awarded several times.
These stats might seem fairly unfavourable with quite a low max win and high volatility, but you have got 4 jackpot prizes to look forward to, and they may turn up more often than you think on a good day. You only need to trigger the bonus game to have a chance of landing something substantial, and while I was spinning these reels, I saw all 3 bonus types fall in fairly quick succession.
To tell you the truth, this game is a bit of an eyesore with a bright red background, Oriental lanterns, and various other symbolic imagery. We've seen it a million times, and I'm pretty sure you've heard the soundtrack before as well. It offers nothing out of the ordinary, and it's probably best to brush over it! One plus point is that you can play on your mobile phone.
The ChongFu Jiangpin Emperor’s Crown base game symbols are capable of offering big wins, and thanks to the stacked nudging wilds, some of those may turn up when you least expect them. However, there's no getting away from the fact that the big wins are there to be won during the bonus game, and my personal favourite was the jackpot version.
