Miss Candy's Sweet Escape Review

Some of you may have been here before with plenty of tasty gummies and a big max win, but when you mix that in with some sugar bombs and multipliers, you might be surprised by the results.

Gameplay & Features

Cluster pays denotes that you must have at least five matching symbols landing on the grid, and those symbols must be touching horizontally or vertically. The highest payout is for a group of 19 or more of the pink heart-shaped gummies, and these can pay 300x.

When winning symbols form a combination, the symbols will leave the grid and the position gets marked, and if this happens again, a multiplier is added. It starts at x2 and reaches a maximum of x256. Once you hit a losing spin, the marked positions will reset.

Quad Multipliers can add random sets of multipliers to the reels, and sugar bombs can explode in a cross-shaped pattern to transform all affected symbols into the same one.

Bonus Game

3 or more free spins scatter symbols will get you between 10 and 16 free spins, and you now have the benefit of a coin bubble cash value feature. You're guaranteed to get one coin at least landing during the bonus game, and when this happens, the entire column is removed to leave only the multiplier at the bottom.

For each coin, you get a random cash value worth up to 20x. The bubbles will rise and pop to award you the values multiplied by the multiplier at the bottom. The marked positions with their multipliers will not reset after a losing free spin.

Anyone who would like to head straight to the bonus game is welcome to pay 100x.

Miss Candy's Sweet Escape - Multipliers

Multipliers

Multipliers will appear after a winning symbol is removed, and then another win takes place on the same spot. These are worth up to 256x and will affect any wins that use a symbol in that place. You can also get a Quad Multiplier that randomly adds a 2x2 multiplier block to the game area.

Miss Candy's Sweet Escape - Free Spins

Free Spins

Not only will you play for free up to 16 times in this bonus round, but you can also find extra cash values from the coin bubbles. At least one of these is guaranteed to land during the round and will add a coin value worth up to 20x. As this happens, the column is cleared and the multiplier value is left at the bottom. The bubble will rise and pop, and offer you your cash prize before multiplying it.

Win Potential

Spinning your heart out during the base game can be fairly advantageous because you could see some decent win values on these symbols if you can get a large enough cluster going. Wild symbols might also help out, and then those multiplier figures could start building up at the same time. Moving into the bonus game, the added benefit is that those multipliers won't reset, and you'll get the coin bubbles turning up as well. When you add it all together, you could be on your way to an incredible 10,000x max win, but watch out for high volatility.

Design

Miss Candy's Sweet Escape soundtrack manages to cling to a slightly euphoric feel as you grow those clusters and watch the gummies pop, and the birds singing in the background won't dampen the mood either. The sound effects are fairly soothing as well, and you can play this game on your mobile phone if you'd like to relax while on the move. There's nothing frenzied or frantic about this game, and the bright colours and blue sky should help keep you smiling as you wait for those big wins to turn up.

Our Verdict

It was kind of obvious that Kitsune Studios was going to produce something very similar to Hacksaw Gaming, given that they are obliged to follow a familiar format. In some ways, this developer offers a little bit more to a lot of the recent Hacksaw games, thanks to the added features and modifications that the base game and bonus round offer. Miss Candy's Sweet Escape is definitely worth checking out, and keep an eye on this developer as well for future releases.
