Can this top developer offer us anything different for Christmas this year? At first glance, it all seems very standard with 4 jackpot prizes, wild symbols and a coin collect system. However, I've also noticed that wild symbols can pay you up to 100x your bet, and that's not something you see every day!
If you want to land a basic prize, then you need a group of 3 matching symbols to drop on just 5 paylines in this game. The highest-paying regular symbols are worth 30x, and even the lowest-paying symbol will return your base bet. Wild symbols substitute for all of those and also get you 100x.
Coin symbols or jackpots might land at the same time as a collect symbol during the base game and this will pull together the coin value and send them merrily off to your bankroll.
The bonus game will begin when there is at least 1 bonus or collect symbol on each reel. As the feature kicks off, only bonus and collect symbols will land, and the collect symbols will only appear on the second reel. They stay there until the end of the bonus game, and the regular payouts are worth up to 8x your bet. The jackpots can fetch you up to 500x, and as this is a respins bonus, you get your lives reset each time a cash or collect symbol lands.
Cash prizes worth up to 8x and jackpots worth between 10x and 500x can land on these reels at any moment. If the valuable coins and collect symbols drop at the same time, everything makes its way to the collect symbol to create an instant win for you.
If you have a collect symbol or prize symbol on every single reel as you play your base game spins, you will activate the respins bonus. Even if you don't have enough, the game might randomly take you there anyway. You now have collect symbols that are static on the second reel, and they attract any of the cash prizes that land and reset your three spins.
You might think that a 3-reel game like this won’t offer too much in the way of win potential, but I saw random entry into the bonus game occur twice within my first handful of spins. The first entry got me over 100x, and the second was even better! The max win is fairly small in comparison to other games, and it sits at just over 3,000x. However, these stats are joined by medium volatility, and that should see some regular prizes attempting to keep your balance feeling festive.
In general, small game areas like these tend to focus more on the payouts rather than the design, but Fantasma has offered up a traditional Christmas backdrop that should make you feel all warm and fuzzy while you spin the reels. Plenty of sleigh bells provide the sound effects and glowing candles light up the grid as you play.
I'd seen some bad reviews about Snowflake Fortune prior to beginning my spins, and to be honest, I don't know why they've been so harsh. Admittedly, there isn't a lot taking place, other than the cash and jackpot collection system, and the bonus game is very run-of-the-mill. However, I found that the win potential was the real gem waiting to be uncovered, and that should be music to your ears. It's not guaranteed to happen every time, but my spins showed me that it is possible.
