What more could you possibly want from a Christmas slot this year? 4 jackpot prizes are just the start of the adventure, and this is backed up with a flurry of bonus features that should keep even Santa happy.
One of my favourite symbols is the Christmas Express train, and this might appear at any moment on the 6th reel. It's quite simple in that it randomly awards a cash prize, jackpots or a combo of both. Jackpots start at 10x and grow to 1000x.
All the regular rewards come your way thanks to the standard payout symbols, and these are worth up to 5x for a group of 6 bags of presents.
There's also an instant win jackpot available, and this can be yours thanks to the Rising Rewards technology that’s squeezed inside this slot. Every token will increase the jackpot value and the prize can be triggered by any of the tokens that land. The maximum value is 200x.
The collect symbol needs to land at the same time as a cash symbol to trigger the collect feature, and you can have 2 collect symbols at the same time to double your festive rewards.
3 or more scatter symbols will give you a fixed payout and take you off to play free spins or Gold Blitz spins, and the best you can hope for is 12 free spins or 7 Gold Blitz games. The expanding wild symbols can appear on the central 4 reels during the bonus, and they expand to substitute for any regular paying symbols.
The Gold Blitz spins are where you see the collect, cash and Christmas Express symbols appear at the same time, along with an accumulation trail. Each collect symbol moves you along the trail, and once you have 12 of them, you can get up to 14 additional spins and a 5x multiplier. Outside the UK, you can go straight to the bonus area for 100x.
This symbol is the festive locomotive that can land on the 6th reel during any of the games, and this is how you can pick up a combination of random cash and jackpot prizes. Every one of the gifts that are revealed will make their way back to you. The mini jackpot only sits at 10x, but the mega prize will offer 1000x.
It's up to you if you want to take regular free spins or the Gold Blitz spins, but with this bonus choice, you get to see a little extra action. There are cash, Christmas Express symbols and collect symbols doing the rounds while all the other positions are blank. Each collect symbol will move you along a special trail that provides extra multipliers and more spins.
I wasn't lucky enough to hit any of the jackpot prizes during my session with Christmas Pots of Gold Express Gold Blitz, but I did manage to get into the Gold Blitz spins a couple of times. On one occasion, I hit all 4 of the marks along the trail and ended up with bigger multipliers than I'd expected. My final result was over 250x! The downside for some players is that this game has extremely high volatility, but that means that a huge random prize can fly out at any moment.
This game is so over the top that it might make you wish for summer! But for those of you who are well and truly in the festive spirit, this should be the perfect addition to your Yuletide joy. The music starts off quite fun and catchy, but it does eventually become a little tiresome! There are more details here than you could even begin to describe with Christmas trees, golden trains, presents and everything else you could possibly imagine stuffed into the background and the set of reels.
One of my favourite elements of Christmas Pots of Gold Express Gold Blitz is that once you get into the Gold Blitz spins, you know you'll have an opportunity to keep going if you're happy to gamble. At the end of your initial spins, you can pay a little bit extra and take another spin if you're close to meeting that next trail marker. It is a very tempting offer, and it was the key reason why I managed to grab myself quite a substantial Christmas treat!
